Join The Planty Auntie to explore the fundamentals of watering, lighting, (re)potting and soils, and troubleshooting common issues. Set yourself up for success as you begin or grow your plant collection. With solid knowledge, tips and tools in your apron, your plants will thrive.
At each gathering, attendees get to choose from a variety of easy-care houseplants, and you'll mix up specialized soil blend for your new plant baby! No gathering is complete without food- so come early for Planty o' Snacks.

Hi! To my human littles, I am Auntie Drea. For the Plant People, I am the Planty Auntie- so nicknamed by a colleague after she learned from friends that I might be able help her save two beloved houseplants.

I started my plant journey in April 2020- like a lot of folks. I bought four plants simply because I liked how they looked. When two of them began to suffer less than a month later, I went into overdrive in learning about houseplant care. I actually became a bit obsessed, and folks began to hear all about it. That's how people started reaching out to me for help! With each new plant need, I read, researched and put what I learned into action.

I am an elementary literacy curriculum specialist by day, and a houseplant enthusiast also by day. The greatest joy of my professional life is being an educator for both elementary students and teachers. One of the greatest joys of my personal life is caring for plants.​

Houseplant education is a perfect blend of four of my loves: people, plants, learning, & making connections. This is how Greene House Gathering came to be.
